Bag has arrived

My bag arrived yesterday, I am so happy. I had been looking at blogs of the swap participants and this was one of the bags I really wanted. I was so excited to see the bag that I asked my son to go to the post office and bring it to me at work, I couldn´t wait till I got home :)

My swap partner was Jenny in Oz. The bag is made of felted wool and the stitched daisies are also in her header on her blog, you should go over and take a look. The bag contained these goodies, a lot of birds, buttons, fabrics, DMC thread and shells.

THANK YOU SO MUCH JENNY

There hasn´t been much going on at the sewing front, I am struggling to get the Dora tops together, they are at this stage now:

I am sewing and ripping up again. I have never had so much trouble getting tops together. The quilts are for three little princesses, their birthdays were on August 31st, September 16th and tomorrow the 28th. It is clear that it won´t be ready for their birthdays! I think I need a vitamin injection to get things done.

May 29th

May 29th is my birthday, it is also May Kristin´s birthday. Since that day this year she has been collecting and making things to send me and look what I received:

Book by Anne Pia Godske Rasmussen, I love her books and now I have a total of 5! I got Tilda stitchery, a little bit of Norway (chocolate) beautiful blue fabric and last but not least she had made me a pincushion to put on my finger and a little case for thimble with my name stitched on it. I had been asking about the case for the thimble but I saw it on her blog a while ago. I was very touched when I got this packet.

I got two awards, this one from Berglind, thank you so much :)

And this one from Suzie, thank you so much :)

I think you have read about my list on the sidebar, sorry I am always talking about it. I have started the quilting on my Oklahoma Road, yessssss. I have a red line to Rose Marie because I am not good at handquilting and really would like to get the grip of it so she is my teacher although she is so far away. She never gets tired of my questions.

I am working on the Dora tops, and would like to get them finished before the end of this month, it should be possible if I keep on sewing!

Then there is the Stitcher´s Angel swap, I have begun but not finished anything yet. I am going to send all at the same time because if I send one thing my partner will know who I am because I am the only one from Iceland participating in this swap :(
Here is a little sneak peak of what I am working on.

THE bag

Finally I have finished the bag for Linda´s swap. It was not easy, every idea seemed to be the wrong one (at least I thought so) finally I decided on this. I found these pink leaves and fell for them, I added white beads on them, I think the picture is not good enough for you to see them. Now I only have to find something to go with it on it´s long way across the ocean to ...

So on Monday it should be on it´s way.

I am sticking to the list on the right, finish five before end of July :) and have been working on the Bloomin´Roses as well as marking the Oklahoma Road.

Have a great weekend everyone.
