Hi Gudrun, yes we do celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It is March 17. Lots of people wear green, or buttons that say, "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" and even pinch those who aren't wearing green. Not sure how St. Patrick's Day in Ireland is celebrated tho. Probably nothing like we do here.
Gudrun, thanks for your comment on my blog about the Santas. The doorknob haning Santa is one of my favorites too. I've been wondering how you are since you haven't posted for so long. Hope you have a great new year.
